I am so grateful for my time at SFS during the summer of 2017. It was filled with so much learning that I could not have gotten in a class room. Being in an office/factory combination has helped me to learn how engineers work work with both aspects of a company. I gained critical knowledge about how products are developed & tested by working with project managers and quality control. Also, I took on a project of updating drawings for better use on the factory floor. This project let me see hands on how engineers and factory workers cooperate to get the job done. Lastly, I was able to apply some of my German knowledge by translating technical specification sheets. As a freshman, I was honored to have this position, and will be grateful for this industry experience so early in my career!
